Corbett-

Dhikala zone which is the largest and is highly recommended for wildlife enthusiasts as it is home for many animals, primarily tigers.
Nainital-
Nainital, the hill resort town in the district of the same name, derives its name from the emerald, glassy, eye-shaped lake (tal) which the town is built around. It is around 32 kms from Haldwani. The Kumaon Himalayas are regarded as “devbhoomi” ( land of the Gods), a divine manifestation of the most intricate natural laws, working for millennia, to carve out the perfect cradle in the arms of the lofty peaks, who remain standing as sentinels, offering solace and inspiring awe in humanity. Nainital’s appeal comes across as no less than a dreamscape. The location is used as a retreat during the harsh summers of the Indian mainland and has the best tourist places to visit, the Naina Devi temple, St John in Wilderness, Hanuman Garhi for the pious ones, Mall road market,Tibetan market for the spendthrift ones, Naini Lake, Nainital Zoo, Jim Corbett National Park, Snow Viewpoint for the nature and adventure lovers, Nainital has a very inclusive agenda in terms of provisions – there is something for everyone.
Naukuchiatal-
At 34kms from Haldwani is the, unique hill station in Nainital, Naukuchiatal literally meaning nine corners of Lake has become the hub for weekend tourists from the neighbouring states. This picturesque town on the Kumaon hills is surrounded by captivating lush green hills on all sides. The panoramic view of the enchanting hills and the lake will keep you mesmerized for long. Naukuchiatal is heaven on earth with its myriad shades of green, lakes, temples, cosy resorts, hilly cuisine, fresh air and helpful locals, an ideal stress buster. Bhuransh, a squash made from the rhododendron is a local speciality. The annual music festival, Escape is a hot and happening event for the year attracting tourists worldwide. Visitors engaged in Bird watching and boating are often seen at various remote places of this region here. Bhimtal-
Bhimtal is a small town in the Kumaon area of Nainital district. This town is set at an altitude of more than 1500m above sea level. This place is neighboured by Udham Singh Nagar, Pauri Garhwal, Almora, and the Champawat districts. The Himalayan mountain range borders the northern area of this town. Bhimtal is about 22kms away from Haldwani. One of the most famous attractions of this place is Bhimtal Lake located bang in the middle of the town. Bhimtal city is named after this famous character of the Mahabharata, Bhim. There is a belief that during their exile, Bhim visited the banks of the Bhimtal Lake. An old Shiva temple, called Bhimeshwar Mahadev Temple is present on that location near the lake. The present temple dates back to the early 17th century, built by the famous Raja of Kumaon. Thus, Bhimtal is much older than the city of Nainital. The other attractions in Bhimtal are, Victoria Dam, Bhimeshwar Temple, Folk Culture Museum, Hidimba Parvat, Nal Damyanti Tal, Butterfly Research Center and many more.
Sattal-
Sattal situated at the lower Himalayan range near Bhimtal and is an accumulation of seven freshwater lakes. It is at a distance of around 27kms from Haldwani. The reason why Sattal is one of the highly recommended places to visit in Naukuchiatal because of its rich biome, dense oak and pine forests and alluring untouched beauty. This pristine lake is neatly seated below the fragrant Orchards, which further beautifies the Mehragaon valley. Migratory birds flock from various geographies to make Sattal their home for a few weeks and again fly back to their home. Sattal boasts of a butterfly museum with a massive collection of 2500 butterflies and moth and 1100 insects. Sattal also has a Mission estate and a Methodist ashram on the banks of the Lake.
Almora-
At a distance of less than 100kms from Haldwani, is a beautiful little town known for its cultural diversity, Almora, situated at an average elevation of 1,638 meters and is spread across a 5 km ridge atop Kashyap Hill. Being surrounded by the dwindling pines and old oaks, the city has a divine aura that is enough to allure the backpackers. To make the scenery even more mesmerizing, the snow-capped Himalayas stand in utmost grandeur to please the visitors from Almora. The beautiful places that you should pay a visit to in Almora are temples like Nanda Devi temple, Patal Devi temple, Maa Dunaguri temple, etc., and few other astounding sites. Jageshwar-
Jageshwar is located at an altitude of 1870 meters. Jageshwar is the 8th Jyotirling among the Twelve and has great religious value. Jageshwar Shiv temple is one of the oldest shiva temple in India.It is a Hindu pilgrimage town in Almora District, dedicated to Lord Shiva, located 36 km northeast of Almora and around 128 Kms away from Nainital in Kumaon Region of Uttarakhand Uttranchal.The temple city of Jageshwar comprises a cluster of 124 large and small stone temples, dating 9th to 13th century AD, with many preserved by the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI), which include Dandeshwar Temple, Chandi-ka-Temple, Jageshwar Temple, Kuber Temple, Mritunjaya Temple, Nanda Devi or Nau Durga, Nava-grah Temple, a Pyramidal shrine, and Surya Temple amongst which the oldest shrine is the ‘Mrityunjaya Temple’ and the biggest shrine is the ‘Dandeshwar Temple’. Once the centre of Lakulish Shaivism, in the Jataganga river valley near a Deodar forest (Cedrus deodara) starting from Artola village on Almora–Pithoragarh highway, where two streams Nandini and Surabhi flow down the hills in the narrow valley and meet near the sacred spot.
